Crystal Palace won the Community Shield for the first time after beating Liverpool 3-2 on penalties. Last season's FA Cup winners twice came from behind in 90 minutes and won it in the shootout. Liverpool's Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong scored in the 4th and 21st minutes, while Palace's Jean-Philippe Mateta and Ismaila Sarr netted in the 17th and 77th.
