SEBI has asked all regulated entities and their agents to terminate contracts with unregistered financial advisors within three months. Regulated entities should not associate with unregistered people providing advice on securities or making any claim of returns, SEBI said. The regulator, however, clarified that its circular is not meant for people engaged in investor education.
