A total of 13 new species of bush frogs were discovered across Northeast India based on samples collected between 2016 and 2024, a study published on Thursday claimed. Of the 13 new species, six were discovered in Arunachal Pradesh, three in Meghalaya, and one each in Assam, Mizoram, Nagaland and Manipur. One species from Meghalaya was named Narphu Bush Frog.
