Astronomers have spotted a white dwarf consuming a Pluto-like icy world several hundred light-years away. Space telescopes revealed nitrogen, oxygen, sulphur and carbon in remnants, confirming water-rich bodies exist beyond our Solar System. Researchers estimated the object was 3km across, and could've been around 50km in size. The star has been steadily pulling in material for at least 13 years
