Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange said that Maratha community was "eligible for reservation since 1881" but had not sought it earlier as it was a progressive group. But he said the community now needed a quota to secure future of its generations. Jarange also accused Maharashtra Minister and OBC leader Chhagan Bhujbal of not letting others from his group shine.
