Infosys Co-founder Nandan Nilekani recalled his first meeting with late industrialist Ratan Tata when the latter visited Infosys' Bengaluru campus in 2001. "I was struck by his humility, grace and generosity," he wrote, adding, "Years later, he invited me to co-found Avanti Finance." In 2017, they co-founded financial inclusion platform Avanti Finance for unserved and underserved households.
