Indian steel exporters have urged Centre to seek concessions from EU during ongoing FTA talks, following the bloc’s proposal to double steel duties to 50%, reports stated. The tariff threatens to make Indian steel uncompetitive in the EU market. This comes when India is already seeking relaxations in EU's carbon tax on imports of steel, aluminium, cement and fertilisers.
