Delhi HC allowed JNTL Consumer Health to sell its existing ₹180-crore stock of ORSL, used to treat dehydration, despite FSSAI's ban dated October 14-15. FSSAI had withdrawn earlier permissions allowing use of 'ORSL' with prefixes/suffixes even for "high-sugar variants" which don't use WHO-approved formulations. Hyderabad-based paediatrician Sivaranjani Santosh called HC's order "national shame".
