After Supreme Court directed Maharashtra government to complete elections for local bodies within four months, CM Devendra Fadnavis said Mahayuti will contest the polls together. Mahayuti is an alliance of BJP, Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde and NCP led by Ajit Pawar. The polls were delayed after a petition was filed on reservation of OBC category in the elections.
