The Central Young Mizo Association (CYMA) submitted a memorandum to Home Minister Amit Shah appealing to reconsider implementation of India-Myanmar border fencing and abolition of the Free Movement Regime (FMR) with the neighbouring country. "The Proposed abolition of the FMR and...border fencing would have a detrimental effect on the vital ethnic and cultural connections," the memorandum read.
