TMC's Abhishek Banerjee met the family of Pradeep Kar, who held the NRC responsible for his death in his alleged suicide note. Banerjee urged people to "tie up" BJP leaders if they asked for their parents' birth certificates during SIR/NRC. "TMC is scared of SIR because removal of names of infiltrators means their government is gone," BJP's Shishir Bajoria said.
