Sri Lanka will allow the import of vehicles in a phased manner starting October 1 after imposing import restrictions four years ago. The ban would be lifted in three phases for public transport vehicles, commercial vehicles and private motor cars, respectively. The move comes as part of the country's efforts to follow the IMF conditions to restore its economy.
