The new GST reforms might be able to help India offset some of the adverse impacts of US' 50% tariffs, said Chief Economic Adviser V Anantha Nageswaran. He explained that the GST reforms will offset tariffs by substituting domestic demand for export demand that may not materialise from the US. GST reforms will be effective from September 22.
