Anil Pawar, the former Vasai-Virar civic chief, has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money laundering case. The case is linked to the construction of 41 illegal buildings in Vasai-Virar, which were later demolished. Two builders were also arrested with Pawar, according to officials.
