Apple is nearing the deal to pay Google roughly $1 billion/year for a custom version of the Gemini AI model to power its overhaul of Siri voice assistant, Bloomberg reported. Apple will use Google's tech as an interim solution until its own models are powerful enough. The effort to fix Siri is led by Vision Pro creator Mike Rockwell.
