Eviction drives resumed in Assam's Goalpara district on Sunday as authorities began clearing 153 hectares of encroached land in Dahikata Reserve Forest. "We've issued eviction notices to 580 families," said officials. This came after CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced eviction drive two days ago. "In just Goalpara district, we've recovered over 900 hectares of forest land," officials said.
