Indian High Commissioner to Canada Sanjay Kumar Verma has denied the allegation of Indian involvement in the killing of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Nijjar, saying, "We are committed not to do extrajudicial killings on any territory." He added, "I know the countries which have done it, and some of them are G7 countries." Verma said such killing shouldn't happen anywhere.
