While rolling out the Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand, CM Pushkar Dhami said there have been instances of violence and murders after a falling out in live-in relationships. "In Delhi, Shraddha Walkar was killed by Aaftab Poonawala...Through UCC, we aim to ensure that no Aaftab is able to commit such brutality against any daughter/sister like Shraddha Walkar," he said.
