Violent protests erupted at VIT University Bhopal campus after students alleged widespread jaundice outbreak on campus due to poor hygiene and contaminated water. Around 4,000 students gathered on the college campus and allegedly set multiple vehicles ablaze and damaged property, including chancellor's bungalow. A protestor alleged around 20 have been hospitalised due to jaundice and three died.
