Surgeons at AIIMS Delhi performed a robotic kidney transplant, claiming it as India's first in a government hospital, on a 45-year-old man with kidney failure. The surgery, carried out using the Da Vinci Xi robotic system, was minimally invasive, allowing smaller incisions, fewer complications, and faster recovery. The patient responded well and was discharged after 10 days, officials said.
