Megha Engineering won a deal to build India's first private-sector strategic petroleum reserve for ₹5,700 crore in Karnataka, ET reported. The company has five years to build and 60 years to operate the 2.5-million-metric tonne (MMT) reserve, which accounts for about half of India's current crude stockpile capacity of 5.33 MMT. Notably, Megha Engineering was BJP's top electoral bonds donor.
