Japan's Self-Defense Force (SDF) warship patrolled the Taiwan Strait on Wednesday for the first time. The SDF destroyer Sazanami entered the strait from the East China Sea, spending over 10 hours sailing south. This operation was conducted following the passage of a Chinese aircraft carrier near Japan a week back. Japanese officials declined to comment on the report.
