Team India skipper Shubman Gill on Thursday broke the record for registering the highest Test score by an India captain in England. The 25-year-old achieved the feat after crossing 179-run mark in the first innings in the Edgbaston Test against England. He broke the previous record held by Mohammed Azharuddin, who had scored 179(243) at Manchester in 1990.
