Maharashtra government issued a government resolution (GR) approving a grant of ₹25,000 each for 1,800 bhajani mandals across the state, officials said. The funds can be utilised to buy musical instruments like harmonium, mridangam, pakhawaj, veena, and others. A total of ₹4.5 crore has been sanctioned by the government to preserve and encourage folk art in state, an official stated.
