A plea in the Kerala High Court has urged it to prohibit the sale, circulation and display of Arundhati Roy's book 'Mother Mary Comes to Me', with its cover showing her smoking without the statutory health warning. The public interest litigation was moved by a Kochi-based lawyer, Rajasimhan. He claimed that the image sends out a "damaging message" to society.
