After Madagascar's President Andry Rajoelina fled abroad following youth-led protests, its military has taken charge of the country, said Colonel Michael Randrianirina. He added that the military has been dissolving all institutions except the lower house of parliament or National Assembly, which voted to impeach Rajoelina earlier. Despite nation-wide rallies, Rajoelina has refused to step down.
