Ladakh Chief Secretary Pawan Kotwal said that 70 youth, who were detained during the violence, were misled by some leaders for their personal and political gains. "The entire episode could have been avoided if some leaders had risen above personal and political ambitions by calling off...hunger strike, timely," Kotwal added. "We'll ensure that youngsters aren't put to...hardship," he stated.
