Fugitive businessman Vijay Mallya criticised Public Sector Banks for allegedly failing to acknowledge the recoveries already made in India. He said, "Indian Public Sector Banks that claim monies from me...should be ashamed they've not yet submitted an accurate statement...of recoveries made." He referred to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's claim that ₹14,100 crore has been recovered from him.
