Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) estimated that Indians will spend ₹6.5 lakh crore on about 46 lakh weddings that will take place during the wedding season from November 1-December 14 this year. Of the total spending, nearly 30% or ₹1.8 lakh crore, will come from 4.8 lakh weddings in Delhi. In 2024, weddings generated an estimated ₹5.9 lakh crore.
