Singer Neha Kakkar’s name was misused by some scammers to dupe a Mumbai-based lawyer of over ₹5 lakh. The scammers used Kakkar’s name to promote a fake international trading platform called FXOnet, convincing the lawyer to open a trading account and transfer money in promise of high returns. She transferred the money and realised the scam after not receiving profits.
