The Congress party received ₹517.37 crore as contributions in the financial year 2024-25, including ₹313 crore from various electoral trusts. Corporate houses like ITC Limited, Hindustan Zinc Limited, and Century Plywoods (India) Limited were among the contributors, according to the Election Commission. Congress leader P Chidambaram donated ₹3 crore, one of the highest individual donations.
