Scientists from ETH Zürich have successfully 3D printed complex muscle tissue in zero gravity, as per a press release. For this, the team used bio-ink, which includes a mix of carrier material with living cells, and developed a biofabrication system called G-FLight, which enables rapid production of viable muscle constructs within seconds. Notably, Earth's gravity interferes with this process.
