Canadian PM Justin Trudeau didn't announce a three-year ban on immigration into Canada. He had instead said that his government would lower the number of immigrants entering the country over the next two years. The Department of Immigration said that Canada will reduce the number of new permanent residents it plans to accept from 5,00,000 to 3,95,000 in 2025.
