Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has urged IIT Bombay be renamed IIT Mumbai, crediting Rambhau Naik for promoting the name "Mumbai". He called for all remaining references to "Bombay" to be removed and said he would write to the HRD Minister and PM Narendra Modi. Fadnavis added, "Some people conveniently avoid renaming the schools where they send their children."
