Veteran Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has announced his retirement from T20I cricket, with his final T20I appearance having come during T20 World Cup 2024. He further said, "I have expressed my desire to play my last Test in Mirpur, if that won't happen, second Test against India in Kanpur would be my last."
