Mississauga City Council and Brampton City Council have passed motions to prohibit protests in the vicinity of places of worship following an attack on devotees at Hindu Sabha Mandir in Canada's Brampton. The motion was moved by Councillor Dipika Damerla in the Mississauga City Council. The devotees were allegedly attacked by a group of Khalistani separatists on November 3.
