Clashes erupted between unidentified miscreants and police at three different locations in Manipur's Churachandpur district ahead of PM Narendra Modi's visit. The decorations done for the visit, scheduled for September 13, were destroyed and burnt down by the miscreants. Police confirmed the incident erupted at around 8 pm on Thursday in Bongmol, followed by Pearsonmun village and Phailien Bazar.
