Two World Athletics employees and a contracted consultant stole over €1.5 million (₹15 crore) from the organisation over several years, the body said after an audit uncovered the theft. While one person had already left, the other two were terminated. Ex-COO Vineesh Kochhar and ex-broadcast director James Lord were reportedly involved, with the consultant not having any managerial responsibility.
