During her 2003-2005 tenure as brand ambassador for Asmi, television presenter Mandira Bedi convinced the jewellery brand to sponsor Indian women's team's ODI series against the West Indies in 2004. Showing her support for women's cricket, she waived her endorsement fee, saying, "The money I would have taken for my endorsement will go towards the cricket sponsorship."
