India’s upcoming base year revisions for Gross Domestic Product and Consumer Price Index will expand the base and coverage of sectors, MoSPI Secretary Saurabh Garg said. The CPI basket size will increase to over 350 items, with e-commerce to be included for the first time, he added. National accounts and GDP series will draw from new data sources, he said.
