India defeated Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in the Champions Trophy final on 13 November 1998 to win the title. India chased down 197-run target with 120 balls remaining. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar scored an unbeaten 124 off 92 balls, hitting six sixes and 12 fours. He had bagged both the Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards.
