Pune Metro aims to expedite the Phase One route extension from PCMC to Bhakti Shakti in Nigdi, potentially finishing it six months early. The estimated cost of the 4.413 km extended route is ₹1,048.22 crore. Hemant Sonawane, Executive Director, Pune Metro Rail, stated, "We are planning to complete it in 30 months".
