SEBI has proposed raising the minimum application size for SME IPOs from ₹1 lakh to ₹2-4 lakh to protect investors amid a rise in such listings. It has further proposed to increase the minimum allottees from 50 investors to 200. The offer-for-sale in SME IPOs could also be restricted to 20% of the issue size under the SEBI proposal.
