Bikram Kumar Panda, former Berhampur MLA and BJD’s Ganjam district president, has been arrested for allegedly conspiring in the murder of BJP leader and lawyer Pitabash Panda, police confirmed. Panda was shot dead by two motorcycle-borne assailants near his residence on October 6. Police suspect personal rivalry, political ambition, and business losses as possible motives behind the killing.
