Computer scientist Geoffrey Hinton, regarded as "godfather of AI", said he's "very worried about AI taking lots of mundane jobs". Hinton said he advised UK government officials to implement the concept of "universal basic income" as the wealth increase resulting out of AI's benefits would go to the rich, not the poor. AI may lead to extinction-level threat, he added.
