Madras High Court restrained The Hindu from giving 'Sangita Kalanidhi MS Subbulakshmi Award' to Carnatic vocalist TM Krishna. Subbulakshmi's grandson's contention was that award can't be given to someone who criticised his grandmother. The court noted that Subbulakshmi's Will also said no trust, foundation or memorial should be made in her name, and thus the award was against her mandate.
