India's merchandise trade deficit in October widened more than expected to $27.14 billion from $20.78 billion in the preceding month. While the merchandise exports rose 17.25% year-on-year to $39.2 billion, imports rose 3.9% to $66.34 billion. India's total exports are expected to rise above $800 billion in FY25, Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal said.
