A video shows tanks racing through streets of Afghanistan's southeastern Spin Boldak province. In a statement shared on X, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid claimed that Afghan forces returned Pakistani fire in border areas, killing "a large number" of Pakistani soldiers and seizing "Pakistani weapons and tanks". Pakistan has, however, denied Taliban's claim.
