Oscar-winning lyricist Alan Bergman, best known for 'The Way We Were', passed away at the age of 99, confirmed family spokesperson Ken Sunshine. The lyricist suffered from respiratory issues, but "continued to write songs till very end", read the statement. Alan, along with his wife Marilyn, produced multiple songs for artists like Michael Jackson, Tony Bennett and Barbara Streisand.
