The Supreme Court on Friday adjourned the bail pleas of Sharjeel Imam, Umar Khalid, Gulfisha Fatima, Meeran Haider and Shifa-ur-Rehman, accused in the 2020 Delhi riots conspiracy case, for the second time since September 12. Their pleas were earlier rejected by the Delhi High Court, which called their roles "prima facie grave" under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
